Imagine witnessing nature's most powerful display live in the field.

This spring and summer, WWS will embark on several one and two week safaris of the Great Plains in search of severe weather. Their trained meteorologists and chasers will provide exclusive training, education, and photo opportunities to clients in the field. Developed by a meteorologist and storm chaser, Widespread Tornado Chasing Safaris are the best way to get you up close and personal with one of nature's most destructive forces...TORNADOES.

• Two fully-equipped chase vehicles in the field, providing views of the storm from multiple vantage points.
• Two fully-staffed private forecasting offices with all the current technology, including real-time NEXRAD Doppler Radar, satellite imagery, and all the weather charts required to pinpoint areas of severe weather development.
• each chase vehicle and weather office will be staffed with an experienced professional meteorologist.
• Each chase vehicle will be fully equipped with all the necessities for severe weather chasing. These include ham radios, two-way radios, cellular phones, alphanumeric pagers with real time severe weather information, laptop computers, TVs, VCRs and other required equipment.

Because of limited space in the chase vehicles, guests are limited to one suitcase and one carry-on bag. Beside normal personal necessities, guests are encouraged to bring:

• Video & still cameras to capture all those unforgettable shots.
• Books or magazines for down time.
• Walkman for personal listening pleasures.

Unlike the movies, there will be times during the safaris when no severe weather is occurring. during these times, we will either travel to the next area where severe weather is likely, or visit other locations such as:

• Amusements Parks
• State & National Parks
• Museums
• Local Weather Offices
• Baseball  games

 Included in this cost are all hotel rooms during the trip, pickup and drop off at airports, travel during the safari and a video of the safari's highlights. Guests are responsible for their own airfare and food (snacks will be provided on the road). Discounts are available to guests who share hotel rooms. A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your seat.
